What to Expect
All are welcome to join in Worship at Grove.
Our worship service begins at 10:30am on Sundays.
When you arrive and park, you may enter through the main sanctuary doors facing Bloom Road where you will be greeted and given a bulletin. The greeters are able to answer any questions you may have and can direct you to children’s materials or the nursery if needed. Listening devices and large print bulletins are available - just ask!
Children of all ages are more than welcome to attend every worship service.
After worship, we usually gather in the fellowship hall behind the sanctuary for coffee and snacks. We would love to meet you there, get to know you, and answer any questions you may have about our church.
Also join us for:
Sunday School; 9am Sundays (September - May)
Wednesday events including our Kindertheology (5:30pm), Wednesday Evening Meal and Fellowship (6pm), Bible Study (5pm), and Choir practices (6:30pm).

What do you offer for my kids?
The congregation at Grove Presbyterian Church strives to create a friendly, safe, and stimulating environment for all children who enter its doors.
Sunday Mornings:
Sunday School at 9:00am (Sept-May)
Sunday School is held at 9am during the school year. Children ages 3 years through Grade 12 begin the Sunday School hour in the fellowship hall, and then move downstairs and divide into classrooms. Each class has at least two adult teachers with appropriate clearances.
Special events involving intergenerational breakfasts, confirmation class (Grades 7-12), and mission work are integrated into this hour as needed.
While your child is in Sunday School, you are invited to take advantage of the adult classes running at the same time.
Worship at 10:30am
Children of all ages are always welcome to our worship services. Worship bags containing a clipboard, crayons, and activities for children can be found hanging from the giraffe at the front of the sanctuary for those who wish to use them.
Childcare
Our professionally staffed childcare room is available for children 3 years and under during Sunday School and Worship.
After worship, we usually gather in the fellowship hall for coffee and snacks.
Wednesday Evenings:
Kindertheology at 5:30pm
This program integrates developmentally appropriate movement, song, instrument playing, and worship concepts for children birth through 4 years of age and their parents. Registration is required each semester. Contact Lynne Pabst at nurture@grovepres.org with any questions.
Family Meal and Fellowship 6pm
Give yourself a night off from cooking and join us for dinner. The Wednesday evening meal is open to all and is especially convenient for those attending Kindertheology, Bible Study, and Choir.
Children’s Choirs 6:30pm-7:30pm
Children from 5-years of age through sixth grade gather preparing to be engaged worship participants and leaders. The children learn how to use their voices, as well as handbells and other instruments. Each rehearsal includes games to promote good vocal technique, foster focused listening, develop body control and awareness, music theory, and music as a means of worship, praise, prayer, and spiritual development. Music for the regular 10:30AM worship services, the 7:00PM Christmas Eve Service and other special services is learned. You are welcome to try children’s choir whenever you are ready to join.
