Music at Grove
Music is an important part of worship and life at Grove. In our worship services, you will hear many kinds of music, including traditional, contemporary, folk, classical, Taizé, spirituals, and more. Our congregation uses the Glory to God hymnal (2013), along with music from other sources. Grove’s vibrant Music Ministry offers opportunities for singers and instrumentalists of all ages and experience levels to share their gifts, grow in faith, and enjoy fellowship.
KinderTheology
Age: Birth through age 4
Wednesdays at 5:30 pm
Through movement, songs, instruments, and Bible stories, our littlest ones can engage in worship alongside a parent or guardian. This program is open to children from birth through age 4. Registration is required, and scholarships are available.

Cherub Choir
Age: 5 years old through 2nd grade
Wednesdays at 6:30 pm
Children learn about worship and music while having fun and enjoying fellowship. The Cherub Choir participates monthly in Sunday morning worship and on Christmas Eve. Children sing, explore instruments—including handbells—and make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

Youth Choir
Age: Students 3rd through 8th grade
Wednesdays at 6:30 pm
The Youth Choir gives young singers opportunities to share their musical gifts in Sunday morning worship and on Christmas Eve. Handbells and other instruments are also part of the experience as participants learn about Christ while developing their musical skills and knowledge.

Senior Choir
Age: 9th grade and up
Wednesdays at 6:30 pm
The Senior Choir is a place for fellowship, singing, and learning new music while polishing old favorites—we have a great time together! Open to singers beginning in 9th grade, the choir leads congregational singing and provides choral calls to worship, benedictions, and musical offerings most Sundays. Members who are interested in sharing special musical selections are encouraged and supported.

Bells
Grove’s handbells add a wonderful grace note to our worship. We welcome ringers of all skill levels, and no musical experience or ability to read music is required.

Grove Community Choir
Established in 2026, the Grove Community Choir is open to anyone in the community who enjoys singing with a group. Our main event is a Tuesday Concert in the Park in mid-July, with additional events throughout the year. No auditions are required, and Grove provides the music and materials.

Wednesday evening is our Family and Music Night! We try to make it as easy as possible for everyone to participate. From Labor Day through Memorial Day, we gather each Wednesday evening as follows:
5:00–6:00 p.m. — Adult Bible Study
5:30–6:00 p.m. — Kindertheology
6:00–6:30 p.m. — Meal (free—all are welcome!)
6:30–7:30 p.m. — Choir rehearsals

Instruments of Note
Organ
Grove is home to a 24-rank Möller organ with a rich history; some elements of the instrument predate 1924. An extensive renovation was completed in 1998, and plans are currently being developed for additional maintenance and upgrades. The organ remains a central part of our musical life and worship.
Yamaha C3X Baby Grand Piano (2017)
This exceptionally beautiful, richly toned piano is a joy to play and is used in worship every Sunday.
Steinway Model M Baby Grand (1932)
This lovely piano graces our Fellowship Hall. A gift from the family of a former Grove organist, it is used regularly for Sunday School opening and other church events.
Yamaha Keyboard
An additional keyboard in our sanctuary used for accompanying singing, augmenting piano and organ, and is put to good use for outdoor worship services.
Handbells and Hand Chimes
Grove has three octaves each of Schulmerich handbells and handchimes. Both sets are in very good condition and carefully maintained.
